Some people seem incredulous that @misshubnut.bsky.social would go on holiday without me. The same people didn't seem to mind when I took myself off to very same location earlier in the year. With another man! Same logic though. We have kids in school (well, one now) and education comes first.

Took Elly to a new car meet a bit over an hour away. Very wet drive over and a wet AND windy drive home but thankfully largely dry at the meet itself. You haven't lived until you've driven a 2CV in a crosswind. A straight course is a challenge!

Heel update. Got some heel cushion things and life feels a hole lot more comfortable. That said, I'm 7365 steps into my day and this may have been a bit overkill. At least I can walk though.

While the Honda/Rover partnership in Europe mostly kept the two brands' identities separate, one strange exception was this 1996 Honda Concerto TD, sold in France, Italy and Portugal. It was simply a rebadged Rover 218 diesel (with an engine supplied by PSA). #weirdcarbs

Went for a drive. Shouldn't have gone for a drive as my foot still hurts but this drive took it to 112,000 miles, let the Dipetane take effect and I wanted to go for a drive. (Fog lights purely for this photo)

I still love these. Hugely practical.
Purpose-built MPVs began to appear in the 1980s, and Nissan's contribution was the Prairie, with rear sliding doors and flexible seating. This UK brochure features the 1.8 Anniversary II model, with two-tone paint which made the car look a little less square. #weirdcarbs

I'm accidentally topical. BBC News doing stories on having to pay for airport drop off. Bristol is taking the pee because there aren't many alternatives! An over-crowded occasional bus is not a suitable alternative given it's in the arse end of nowhere.
