I have a 3-cup Bialetti Moka Express, and a 3-cup of the next generation of moka pots, E&B Labs. Simple, reliable, and so long as they never get put in the dishwasher, they can last for eons.

Adding this to my "Crimes Against Chicago" file, right next to the film Mean Girls a) putting hills in Evanston and b) presenting Old Orchard as an indoor mall with a fountain. (Old Orchard has been an outdoor shopping center since the day it opened.)
