For no particular reason, I'm reminded of how Ralphie in A Christmas Story - a 9yo - thinks he's doing. A+++++

During lunch, my husband asked if I wanted a pickle, and I said "I just want to ride on my motor-sickle" and he stared at me blankly. Anyway, we're now listening to Arlo Guthrie.

Hi ahead and hit that snooze button. The worms aren't going anywhere.
The early bird might get the worm but they didn’t get all the worms because I looked around and baby there’s still worms

I got almost half the solar panels brushed off before I tapped out from the cold. Only 6°F here, but I couldn't waste the clear skies and sunshine ❄️🥶🌞 They were completely covered and reading zero this morning. Watching the #s go up in real time ❤️ *I'm too short to reach the front row of panels 😏

Sometimes, about an hour into streaming a really awful movie, it will look like it's going to commercial, but come back to the feature like a second later. I think it's because even the streaming service is surprised anyone made it that far so they're giving us a little treat.

A sweet, random memory just popped into my head... when my mom baked cookies, she would cut open a paper grocery bag and spread it out on the counter to cool the cookies on. My favorite memories of her are little things like that.

There's an ad for a home-cleaning service that says, "they'll clean everything - from your toilet to your stovetop." and I always wonder how that copy got approved without someone saying "y'know, maybe we should switch that order." #marketing

Last week I successfully made a souffle on my first try. I realized that for lots of recipes, technique is as important as measurements. YouTube tutorials break down gates.

Woke up with a cold, so I'm going to do like Hippocrates and let food be my medicine. Pumpkin-potato soup with enough garlic, ginger, and turmeric to cure what ails me.

My favorite part of those "what is this thing?" posts is when a couple dozen people respond with the correct answer - complete with academic citations, then someone else chimes in with a totally off the wall guess.

I had eggs, cheese, and a YouTube tutorial. I don't own a proper souffle dish, but we made it work. So freakin' good.

I lived for a couple years in Ferndale, CA where Salem's Lot was filmed and based my second cozy mystery "Lights! Camera! Murder!" on the fans of this cult classic. Out now in paperback, ebook, and audiobook! *My front porch had been the location for an iconic Weasel scene!!!
