Nearly eight (!!!) years since I started making notes for/talking/thinking about this book, and the latest draft has just gone in. It is (hopefully) publishing in May next year in the UK/Ireland with 4th Estate, and June in the US with Scribner.

If the Israeli military can't fully occupy Gaza because of American qualms and economic problems in Israel then the Netanyahu government might be tempted to arm the Damoush clan or other factions and then stoke internecine fighting between Hamas and other Palestinians

Jerusalem, a protester was arrested. She was holding a sign that the police didn’t like; when an officer grabbed it, she tried to take it back and was then arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer 😡.

Plus de 700 personnes qui manifestaient pacifiquement contre son interdiction ont été arrêtées par la police. Cette semaine encore, cinq porte-paroles du mouvement Defend our Juries ont été perquisitionnés et arrêtés. Ils et elles risquent une peine pouvant aller jusqu’à 14 années de prison.
