Finally, the nurse who let me in came out to ask if anyone had spoken to me. She explained that she had told my child that I was here to visit but got no response. “I’m sorry no one told you,” she said, apparently completely disowning her central role today.

Now alarms are being tested, because Sunday afternoons in hospital units aren’t meant to be relaxing. Especially with lots of families visiting.

Meanwhile, every few minutes someone asks if I’m being seen to. Which makes me question whether I’m being seen to.

The episode in the church where the players had to kneel on a kneeler in front of the presenter would have felt massively out of place in the UK version. So it got me wondering what in the UK version goes under my radar.
