With Fina being named this morning, she was the earliest cyclone in a season since Unnamed 01U was reanalysed to have formed on July 29th 2022.

Before that it was Cyclone Raquel on July 1st 2015- the earliest TC ever recorded (and ever will as a new season begins on July 1st)
