"Transformative use" isn't all there is to #fairuse - it also matters whether a use is commercial or not.

In the famous Betamax case, the court said that NC use of a copyrighted work is presumptively fair, so the burden is on the copyright holder to show that a NC use is likely to harm the market.

The campaign I'm on is PMD: A Path Through Time (@paththrutime.pmd.social) and we use a homebrew system created by our sister show Not A Scratch (@notascratchcast.bsky.social). It's a sort of combo of DND and PTU from what I've heard.
