Thanks! I've only seen Riverbeast so far (there was a weekend season of their films across a few London cinemas earlier this year and I saw it then) but there weren't many streamable at the time. Looks like they've been added more recently, including Magic Spot, so I'll have a watch soon

I see that grape vines have developed egg-producing capabilities (and, as such, the author now considers app grape vines to be female)

Based on my research, it's a common affliction

Neither Oliver nor Judd believe Irena in the original, but in the remake Oliver learns the truth and then has sex with Irena so that she can transform

Looked it up. Not quite, but... well

I spotted that the other day and, given that there's only one song I'd think of if pressed to name an Enya song, I also didn't get it

Dammit. Would definitely have been better still being about plums. Oh well

Now worried that "I have eaten the plums of Thomas the Apostle" would have been more funny, but I was trying to keep some degree of accuracy in there, and Google couldn't quickly tell me of any saint whose testicles had been kept in box

No problem 🙂

I'm back in London on Thursday so can check for sure then (I'm literally going to have to look at the label on the mattress)

I got a new one about a year ago and have been really happy with it, and it's on the firm side... but I'm at my parents for a few days and can't remember 100% what it is. I *think* it's a Panda hybrid pro (I bought it based on reviews in the independent and, checking back, that seems right)

It's an album that has really grown on me. I didn't originally rate it as highly - even now I'd say it has only three proper bangers (Brave Men Run, I Love Her All The Time, Death Valley '69) - but it's such a complete thing in its own right, and I suspect its influence on me will continue to build

And, finally for now, Francis Bebey's Psychedelic Sanza 1982-1984. I don't have the genre vocabulary to describe African music with any accuracy. Feels like there's some jazz going on in here, alongside what wikipedia tells me is makossa. It's just really good open.spotify.com/album/0wPL7w...

A combination of having a regular record shop, and a general principle of "what's this then, it sounds like it may be interesting" leading you to records you'd never otherwise have have heard, Rwandan folk(?) with Bizimungu Dieudonne's Inzovu Y'Imirindi open.spotify.com/album/0CLImW...
