Tonight is the deep dark of the year. It is the Longest Night, and this year it's also in the moon's dark. It's sunset.
I'm holding onto the rituals, kneeling in the snow and ice damp grass at sunset, geese flying over head calling as the sun sets behind clouds.

Woke up this morning to a very industrious spider outside the window with raindrops captured in her web.
It feels like a beautiful reminder from @alchemy_of_the_sole, it's nice to know you are busy out there somewhere.

My heart has been full and heavy the last while. Grief is loud and it feels like I ran into a tree, as the poem says. It also feels like my sight is adjusting to the dark, and I think I might actually be able to find it beautiful.

Getting outside is good for my brain. The world has been a lot lately, taking time to notice small beauty helps. Sunlight, colors, music, the sound of wind, calling geese, flocking finches, leaves dancing on the wind.
