I reject referring to Orthodox extremists in NYC as "Jewish leaders." If you're trying to recruit braindead lunatics to go to Israel and participate in the mass killing of Palestinians in the West Bank, a course of terrorism that destabilizes a whole region of Earth, you're not a leader of anything.

Interesting, but "much of our advice was ignored by government but we don't know the reason (...) much of the criticism of scientific advice was political..." is pretty damning!

I agree, which is why I recently joined @greenparty.org.uk. They may lack governing expertise, but the more support they get the better and who knows where it might lead.
As for Labour, just so abysmal...

In this 2004 interview Trump said “I probably identify more as Democrat (... ) It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans"

Come the referendum the 'cons' were of course conveniently forgotten and never mentioned again, Johnson preferring to wave around pasties and other silliness, which is another to despise the man

Johnson said a lot of things in the Telegraph, most memorably his (2013) list of pros and cons. The pros of leaving were arguably very marginal and included the caveat that UK would always remain in EU lunar orbit. Such a useless, cynical charlatan

Without a massive change of direction on multiple issues, Labour isn’t winning back anybody. Labour lost me and numerous others I know because Labour’s vision, policies and values are now basically shit. Bye

Blair, for all his faults, knew it. Compare his 2005 speech to Starmers "island of strangers" and latest toxic language from Mahmood. Talk about worlds apart (sigh)

I wouldn't take anything Lam says seriously...

Tories are living in alternative realities. Jenrick is just a racist nutjob, but even bright young thing Katie Lam is pining for the good old asylum days when it was beautiful ballerinas defecting from Soviet Union

Labour's policy is so depressing and stupid because even the govt's own stats don't support it. All EU countries have to deal with immigration. If UK is too generous and a "magnet" for refugees, what does that make France, Italy, Spain and Germany?

Sounds like the Govt (and The Sun) is recycling this story from 2016 - even the 'wedding rings will be exempt'
