Saw the #StrangerThings finale at the theater. Definitely the way to go. Thought it was solid overall, and loved the epilogue. I'll definitely miss having a show around to remind me of my childhood. 🙁

So I upgraded this PC: went from a 1.8GHz to 2.6GHz CPU, replaced the 32MB Nvidia TNT2 M64 with a 128MB ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, and doubled the RAM from 512MB to 1GB.
It's now moderately capable of gaming with Windows XP, but very capable with Windows 98SE.

Picked up this old Sony Vaio desktop a few days ago. My favorite part is that it says it’s expandable to the same amount of RAM it came with 🤣
Anyway I’ll be replacing the GPU with a Radeon 9600XT this weekend. 😎

Saw someone compare Vince Zampella to John Carmack in how much of an impact he had on the first-person shooter genre. Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Titanfall, Apex Legends, Battlefield...pretty solid argument.

8gb of vram for the steam machine is disappointing, but if it takes off you can bet developers would optimize for it, which would have a knock-on effect for other 8gb gpus, so it might not be all bad.
