Reading things like this makes me with the Slow Horses were real
From NYT interview with FBI official on Patel. Utterly terrifying.

"His staff only cared about three things: what his meals were, when his workouts would be and what his entertainment would be. The biggest plan is how he's going to get his girlfriend to Windsor Castle."

Scott Bessent's remarks on Denmark highly ironic given how irrelevant Scott Bessent is.

Jesus. I thought Littlejohn could not get any more despicable, but somehow he has succeeded.
I think the Daily Mail is actually verging into sedition and subversion and treason.

Not really. A significant fraction of them have jumped ship to Reform.

The problem is not that Trump has become deranged. It's that he's been deranged for many, many years. The problem is the denial of that.

If you don't want officers to be called murderers then stopping them from doing murders would seem to be the most effective way of doing that. Also works for making things less dangerous.
Homan: "We gotta stop the hateful rhetoric. Saying this officer is a murderer is dangerous. It's just ridiculous. It's gonna infuriate people more which means there's gonna be more incidents like this."

Apart from anything else this is stupid in its own terms. What would Lowe (& the many others on the far right now openly saying it) do if some future regime decreed that he was 'not British'? What legal redress would he have if Britishness were defined not by citizenship but by some other test? 1/2

Furthermore, if "Britishness" is not defined by the things people who are British citizens do, then it is divorced from anything truly meaningful & just "someone's opinion" of what we should be. It undermines the very concept of the thing it purports to be.
