If you don't want officers to be called murderers then stopping them from doing murders would seem to be the most effective way of doing that. Also works for making things less dangerous.

Apart from anything else this is stupid in its own terms. What would Lowe (& the many others on the far right now openly saying it) do if some future regime decreed that he was 'not British'? What legal redress would he have if Britishness were defined not by citizenship but by some other test? 1/2

Furthermore, if "Britishness" is not defined by the things people who are British citizens do, then it is divorced from anything truly meaningful & just "someone's opinion" of what we should be. It undermines the very concept of the thing it purports to be.
