Every example of ai being useful begins with "okay imagine you're in a situation, and you are very dumb"

Mastered!

At 141 achievements in about a week and a half...GoldenEye was a journey. As usual I feel like I have played the absolute snot out of these games by the time I get through the set.

If your defense is "well every AI has faults so it's fine" then you have executed some impressive mental gymnastics to justify being a total piece of human garbage.

It's been an interesting 30 days watching this developer burn most of their goodwill in a single swing.

Even if he wants to believe in that garbage he should be smart enough to at least read the room and keep his mouth shut.
Larian CEO says Divinity could have gen AI assets in it but only if the tools are trained on the studio's own data.

"If we use a GenAI model to create in-game assets, then it'll be trained on data we own."

The handling of the Xbox brand has been so poor in the last five years that it's exceptionally difficult to trust anything that comes out of Phil or any MS-exec's mouth. I dont really understand what there is to celebrate when the future of the platform looks so unstable.
Xbox chief Phil Spencer has posted a video about Microsoft's 25 years of Xbox and the upcoming Developer Direct later this month. The video, posted to LinkedIn, also includes Microsoft's new Xbox 25 logo

Mastered.

A quick one (less than a week after OoT). Still a great game that can be exceptionally hard to control and the N64 port's blur of textures does not help.

Most of the time was burned restarting the Abyss track. A buggy narrow track with broken AI.

2021: Me looking at video reviews of portable air conditioners over maybe two weeks and then never again.

2026 youtube: "Here's literally nothing but portable air conditioner videos in your feed for days since you're really into this"

CES is even more uninteresting than usual. None of these hardware announcements matter in the context of the memory shortages.

That and the "AI" branding being slapped on everything is reaching "HD sun glasses" levels of ignorance.

Kicked off the year with a mastery day one. Still a fantastic game.

And we’re at that point where 360 is considered “retro”. Just bury me now.

I was gifted a fight stick from @turudo.bsky.social for birthday last week.

I have no excuses to not play Killer Instinct now.

Of the major video game devs in the modern era, Vince sounded like one of the few left that had a direct singular impact on the direction of a game/franchise (rather than it being a conglomerate of people).

A massive loss to the industry.

A quick set to complete. Not sure if I zoomed through it because I played this constantly 25 years ago or if the requirements were pretty simple.

Still a fantastic game. Factor 5 knew the N64/GC hardware more than Nintendo ever did.

I encountered a surprisingly large amount of AI slop when cutting through the clothing section of walmart. Holiday graphic tees/sweaters, etc.. Freakish looking santas that have that disturbing uncanny look to them. In another life they would be appealing in an ironic/comedic sense.

This legitimately might be the best Steam sale in a very long time.

Might consider that a rudimentary signal that the economy is in bad shape.

“I am bringing those high prices down and bringing them down very fast.”

What on earth is this moron talking about? In the modern era, It has never been more expensive to exist.

UHD drive firmware flashed. We're good to start decrypting and ripping 4K blurays. Not sure why the guys are endlessly long. This took maybe 3 minutes.

I love how after years of sitting on this I pull the trigger the same month when physical storage begins to explode in price.
