always stay curious: don’t ever stop questioning everything around you. i use to take my friend in undergrad who was a biochemistry & nutrition double major to wegmans with me so she could explain the food labels lol, now i can use chatgpt. never settle and be a passive person/consumer.

finally received my eadem tinted lip gloss/balm order, sold out at a lot of places bc it’s so popular and well liked. excited to try. eadem is a poc-owned brand. so far, so good. #enjoyingMyLifeAlways

was going through some old pics the other day, this meeting in april 2018 in soho, was a significant moment in my life where i realized where i ranked with my R skills (in nyc), that i developed by myself for 2.5 yrs in undergrad (2012-2014) & kept learning/developing after that. 1/2

my gift to myself arrived this morning: a newer more precise angled brush to do liquid eyeliner & a spoolie that i use everyday. very, very good, very happy with this, excited to try the angled brush soon. there’s a japanese brand that also makes very precise goat hair brushes, want to try as well.

armani lip gloss in 07 is my thing, i will never mess with this choice. that subtle glitter i don’t think anyone can replicate ever and the attention to detail. rhode is for here and there and etc.

all of my red lipsticks that i’ve acquired, that i’ve tested out on myself over the yrs. they’re either cool toned or warm toned, dior being the most expensive. red is not easy to nail down. long time fav is nudestix’s “stiletto” — appropriately named. #makeup #art #colortheory #photography

a picture i’ve had saved for a few yrs. a reminder that a new frontier is fun, new, exciting, risky, difficult, has new challenges, unknown routes etc. but worth it. mediocrity is not an option, it’s only an option for the mediocre tho, not me.
