The Large Hadron Collider Beauty Collaboration at CERN has now measured a CP violation in a certain decay channel of B mesons. Careful characterization of this and related decays could reveal new physics beyond the standard model of particle physics.
LHCb Delivers a Key Piece in the CP-Violation Puzzle
A symmetry violation has been observed in a particle-decay process that—together with five related decays—could shed light on the matter–antimatter imbalance in the Universe.

Today I voted for the first time in German elections since 2009 (I think). It is quite an effort, if you live in Mexico (like me), but given the times we live in, I think it is needed. Let’s hope it helps a bit

This year is the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. To celebrate, we are republishing stories on the history of quantum physics from our archives.
Quantum Milestones, 1916: Millikan’s Measurement of Planck’s Constant
The experiment provided further proof of the reality of photons, yet Millikan didn’t accept their existence until later in his career.

This was some very nice collaboration with Dima, Kong and Krzysztof Kutak; take also a look at inspirehep.net/literature/2.... The essential question was whether we can describe entanglement entropy also if it is measured in a limited region of rapidity only.

Have you ever seen light collide? In very rare collisions at the #LHC, we can see photons collide, and this helps CMS test the #quantum part of electromagnetism, search for new particles, and so much more!
