Despite the media hype this is not a done deal - yet. There are a few actions that are required, and while likely to happen, they have not happened yet. Trump is not yet able to rule entirely by decree - though he likes to think he can.
To bad the charge was withdrawn. Had it remained in effect and gone to trial he would have had a chance to prove innocence. As it is the Crown is saying it is not worth the time for a trial at this late date. In the states in cases like this an innocent accused can get a certificate of innocence.
