My faith in electoral politics is severely limited. But it is refreshing and gratifying to see a politician publicly saying things I believe in, and to see networks of community outreach being formed in a way that is universally vital

The number of games with writing that would be passable in any other medium is astoundingly low, probably because we culturally define games as the domain of tech/play/visual art. So few games show any reverence for the written word!

Twitter is so bad lol. I took a break for a few days and logged on this morning to discover that in the interim literal thousands of Nazis had discovered a piece I wrote about getting hate-crimed and were telling me to kill myself. Pretty solid motive to stay off there

I do feel discussion around blue Prince was hampered by a (reasonable) mis-characterization of the game’s genre. It is not, really, a puzzle game. It is a dungeon crawler! The RNG is not a compromise - it’s the desired friction. It has more in common with Shiren the Wanderer than Outer Worlds
