Ride with the Devil wasn't even on my long list. I don't think I knew about that one, but what a cool cast. It's on the list now.

Selleck in an Elmore Leonard Western is so my cup of chili.

These are both on my short list now. [MM]

I would actually love to revisit that show. I was a big fan back in the day.

Maybe for our next anniversary episode? [MM]

Great episode, great talk! I can see that it's a great movie and the acting is amazing. But I still feel that the natives aren't three dimensional, just kinda there to be stoic and native. I wish they could've been allowed to be full characters. But maybe that was not the story he wanted to tell.

We don't a lot of their perspective, I agree. What we do get is their kindness, even towards people they had every reason to hate, so that was emotional for me. But you're right that it would have been even better if were able to get more of their point of view. [MM]

Interesting. I'm hesitant with Tim Kring, who's inventive yet erratic, but am intrigued the Quaker "violence vs non-violence" angle. Let's see what happens!

Looking forward to Hostiles, started it several years ago, but never finished it. Amazing acting, but too meandering and I didn't like how the movie treated the native characters. But I didn't finish it so maybe I will find out that it got better.

Love it! He would be perfect. He could convince you he was good, but then play bad equally well.
