I lived in Manchester for many years and am now back in my home county of Shropshire. Interests include history/genealogy. Family links to Shropshire, Cheshire, Flintshire, the Wirral, Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire, Gloucestershire and Devon.
He was fabulous! It was the Serious Moonlight tour, 1983 Birmingham NEC I think.Yes U2 were very different! They were at the Apollo Manchester. I just remember Bono climbing on top of the stack of speakers and leaping off. Surprised he survived!

He was the youngest child of the family and had an older brother called John Thomas who died the year before he was born. Most Ancestry tree owners think John is John Thomas of course! I've learned there's no point in trying to correct them!
