The reason it's ok here with the heat is the widespread availability of air conditioning. Im at a conference so while it's hot outside it's decidedly chilly inside.

If it happens when the thread is down, did it really happen? Sorry to hear your being tormented by hot weather. I traded 46 degree weather for a mere 29 in Chicago though it's due to heat up over the weekend.

A big part of the strategy has been just to do lots fast. There is no one important thing which everything is covering for - everything is a distraction from everything else.

OMG. I just finished his final Peter Diamond book - I'd been putting it off so as not to reach the end. A brilliant writer. I met him once and was so impressed by his outlook on his life and career. I'd not seen news of his death til now. I am grateful he was able to complete the Diamond series.
