And meanwhile, in many states, like here in Texas, there is actually a subminimum wage for service industry workers that has not been raised since the early 90s!
It’s legal to pay those workers only $2.13 an hour. That needs to change as well.
Today marks 16 years since the last increase to the federal minimum wage. Nobody can survive on $7.25 an hour.

In NM, we’ve fought to raise wages at the state level. But there is still a national crisis, and that's why I’m proud to support legislation to raise the federal minimum wage to $17.

Please also-How about eliminating the loophole for service industry workers who make the subminimum wage of $2.13 an hour in many states (like Texas), which has not gone up in OVER 30 YEARS?!
It’s been 16 years since Congress raised the minimum wage. Meanwhile, folks are out here trying to survive on $7.25 an hour. In this economy?!

I’m standing with my Labor Caucus colleagues to #RaiseTheWage, because $7.25 ain’t cutting it.

A reminder that being in this country without documentation is a civil offense. They’re sending soldiers in choppers to enforce the federal equivalent of a speeding ticket.

Revisiting this… if the Pres didn’t kill the bipartisan immigration bill last year, immigration courts, judges and lawyers would be funded to handle all of these cases in a legal and constitutional manner. But, then he couldn’t campaign on the issue, seize more power, send in troops and make more $.

Russian bot farms use paid individuals to spread misinformation, continuing KGB-style “active measures” from the Cold War.

Here’s how you can spot them 👇

Because it’s actually just a trap excuse to pull Texas women over & subject them to questioning about their bodies and reproductive functions and their rights, especially as they lose court cases about restricting women’s constitutionally protected right to interstate travel while possibly pregnant.
So...all women, then? Because who is stopping to check? And how do you then prove that you have children? I can come up with some names and backstories. Plus, I'm a *dog mom* does that count? www.texastribune.org/2025/05/13/t...

Well, over half the population is female and this administration ordered doge to cancel any grants or programs that include words like “female” or “woman”, so, by their fraudulent definition, serving the population would, by default of their definition, involve “DEI” about half of the time.
Tulsi Gabbard claims that intelligence professionals have told her that under Biden they were expected to spend half their day on "DEI work"

Just a reminder - something that could have helped facilitate due process would be more immigration judges & courts & investment in the system… all things in the bipartisan Border Deal that was about to pass til unelected private citizen candidate Trump ordered the GOP to kill it for political gain.

1 in 5 women experience a miscarriage. An American woman is now imprisoned for hers.
Since I posted this video, Newsweek and HuffPost have covered the story - which is great, but obviously nowhere close to enough

Aside from the obvious direct harm, what's so irritating is that a handful of spoiled ignorant assholes are breaking things that we all built together. They weren't content to own almost everything, they had to wreck what little they didn't own. It's vandalism on a mass scale and has to be punished
