We’ve cautiously welcomed it while urging a conservation-led approach, avoiding harmful subdivision, using like-for-like materials, and ensuring strong safeguards so restoration happens before any new-build work proceeds. (2/2)

Around £250,000 from the Levelling Up Fund has supported upgrades to heating and lighting, helping open this Grade II* listed building to wider community use. A thoughtful scheme in a standout setting.
