While I was medicated for bipolar, I was unable to feel the emotions. But during the climax of Bara Seiyoukan, I could understand them.

MECHANICA's shitty dystopian future is deceptively cozy. Almost utopian even. Because between the lines: it is. It ultimately has a hopeful message about the future, and about ourselves. That good things exist in this world, even if sometimes we can't see them.

I owe a lot to 逢縁奇演 (Aien Kien). It's difficult to explain what MECHANICA: The Ballad of Rabbit and Mercury means to me. I was in a shitty place in my life (and still kinda am), and it's not like I was saved by playing a game or anything.

Jet Set Radio Future felt each chapter was written by a different person in round robin format. Also Goji went from a deluded old man to a lunatic building the tower of culture to... okay, I have no fucking idea what becoming the Culture Demon accomplishes. Or whatever he was supposed to be.
