Why should we pay attention to red states?

Everybody in this country just lost access to student loan forgiveness because of the state of Missouri.

You don’t need a coup when you can bribe red state AGs.

This is one way businesses can support the Constitutional rights & lives of people in America-by not making it easy for DHS (ICE, BP) to trample those rights and lives. I love this so much, I will go to this business & spend some money soon.

🧵A joint hearing by the Judiciary Committee of the CA Senate & Consumer/privacy protection of the Assembly was held today at Stanford to balance concerns of creative artists with the economic engineering of AI.

The room overflowed.

Real issue? This President & Congress won't regulate AI.

Endorsements from 50 women does not cancel out credible reports of misogynistic slurs & complaints by powerful trailblazing women.

Additionally, Brendan Gill is Essex County leadership and his silence on Patrick Thomas and the 2-year old racist noose case bodes ill on his campaign too.

Brendan Gill is touting endorsements from “over fifty trailblazing women” to bolster his image with women voters. That’s not the same as reckoning with past and present harm.

before the trump admin, this would have been one of the biggest political scandals in history and alone would be solid grounds for impeachment and removal.
Trump rages that Henry Cuellar didn’t pay him back for a pardon by switching parties, blasting Cuellar for a “lack of LOYALTY.”

In other words, Trump admits he was trying to use his pardon power to buy Republicans a House seat.

Big Oil is "wildly desperate to dodge the growing array of lawsuits over the damage caused by their decades-long scheme to deceive the public about climate change," writes @aaronregunberg.bsky.social.

The fossil fuel industry is again urging the Supreme Court to help them escape accountability.
The Supreme Court’s Ethics Code Is a Joke. Big Oil Knows That.
Oil companies want the Supreme Court to intervene to dismiss lawsuits about climate change. Amy Coney Barrett and Samuel Alito both have big conflicts of interest on that front.
