Canadian wearily posting into the void. Resisting the word "skeet". My posts do not represent my employer. Mum, cat owner, ND. She / her.

I do not "follow back" automatically and if I don't know you in some way, you will be blocked.
Oh! I was skimming. Yeah, you're fine :)

WAIT WHAT WHICH ONE
December 1, 2025 at 4:20 PM
yeah, the one and only regret i have about moving is that the amazing, huge, fancy fridge we got on huge discount because it had a dent in it had to stay behind

the one we have now... let's just say i'm incredibly glad i spent a non-insignificant part of my teen years playing Tetris

i think so, although i haven't seen Kid2 yet this morning. i'm hoping he got a decent night's sleep and is back on track.

That said, Moderna usually knocks me on my arse as well, and we doubled up with the flu vax - definitely made a difference. Kid1 only got C19 this weekend as he got the flu vax at school early in November and he didn't seem bothered at all.

I always forget to mention it to people but yes, it can help especially if you are someone who normally has a robust immune response.

Also, hydrating very well for at least 24 hours before vaccination usually makes a difference.

Kid1's birthday is in July. years ago we had a birthday party for him in the backyard and more fool i, i had bunches of balloons everywhere. POOR CHOICE. as they got hot from the sun they just started randomly exploding.

That was my first and only thought. Surrounded by heat from the lights and spiky needles? Kaboom!

(I assume this would be less of an issue with LEDs and an artificial tree, so this may be a generational thing.)

Our symptoms ran the gamut from fatigue and sore arms all the way to fever and vomiting - so I hope she hits on the milder end!
