I'll be honest: Lately, I feel like I haven't always had my fastball. For Box Score Banter, I wrote about Landen Roupp, who didn't have his changeup yesterday. On control, not having it, and a brand of existentialism and artistry based on muddling through life without one's best stuff:

An encore for this week's BP column, which is, as is almost always the case, about empathy... with a stopover for the untimely death of a Phillies catcher at the hands of a passing truck.
