I don’t think everyone means the same thing when they use the word “socialism“. Republicans generally mean any government program they don’t like is socialism. Are SS, Medicare, and Medicaid socialism? Is Sweden a socialist country? Or is it just capitalism with a safety net?

He used to be a congressman. Before that he was that naked guy on the Real World.

Sure, but there does come a point where Trump wins just because you’re willing to play his game. I’m just inherently going to be less trusting of someone Trump is saying nice things about. I’m sure that in a week Mamdani will do something that pisses Trump off and I’ll be more comfortable 😀

It’s enough to make me worry that somehow Mamdani has been corrupted. I’ve reached the point where my only criteria for a politician is whether they will stand up to Trump.

If there’s a R+12 seat he wants to take a shot at I’d be open to him running.
