Currently there is no website, there is no work on Legends of Hamanshiron, I don't know when there will be, currently I am just me David, He/Him, incredibly opinionated, extremely 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and can't be fucked with most people
Pinned
Did this on the old platform, got a little traction but not alot, going to pin it to the profile and see if I get some interest
Oleksandr Usyk calling Jake Paul a Fiat made me chuckle hard

Back at work. Thanks universe for not letting me win the lottery and have to deal with this shit show all over again. And the shit show is even worse than when I left. We are 4 security down and 1 doing vetting that is unnecessary cause you know we get government vetting every 3 years.

Oh yeah. I am nearly on the last phase of spell writing for Legends, I just finished the Druid/Ranger like professions spell lists and spells and then it's onto Priests, Temple Warriors and Annointed protector prayer lists for each domain. Once they are done I will be working on the Psionic powers

Started to write the folklore of Hamanshiron, mix of different Gaelic folklores, it's a weird thing looking into different folklores on how many things are actually shared in most cultures, like Vampires and shapeshifters, Merfolk and Dragons, Giants and the Boogeyman, Ghouls and water monsters

It can't just be on the teachers and professors. Parents and other members of the community need to stand with them.
This is why OpenAI is selling so aggressively to education at all levels—they want to create entire generations of users incapable of reading, writing and thinking without ChatGPT to hold their hands

And teachers and professors should call this out for what it actually is
To bear out this rosy projection, HSBC assumes that OpenAI will become "as ubiquitous [...] as Microsoft 365" (345mm users worldwide) while bringing in 10x the number of users (3bn).

This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but I quite liked season 4 of the Witcher, Hemsworth took a bit of time to get used to, but I did finish my rewatch of season 1-3 right before I watched it and would love to see more of the world after season 5

I may have changed my mind on what to play in this campaign, you know when you have GM'd every game you have played for close to a decade, sometimes the floodgates open and 50 different character ideas spill out.

We are going to start playing a 3rd level 5e campaign after finishing Star Wars, I am going to play a High Elf Eldritch Knight, even after merciless taking the piss out of high elf's last week.

Me and the better half went to see I Swear tonight, if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it, brilliant film, the two main characters (the only ones as usual) being played by non Scots was a bit annoying but you would have to be Scottish to observe that

My FLGS found their loose packs of Zendikar Rising, Ikoria, Throne of Eldraine and War of the Spark, I got a pack of Throne and Ikoria (I never got to open them when they came out) I got a Raugrin Triome and a Witch's Oven, the Throne pack's rare was a Castle Embereth

I always planned on having a smaller spell count in Legends than D&D, at this point I think we are going to be bigger, but at least organised for each pursuit/profession or Domain. No going through half the book to look for 1 spell.

High Elves of Hamanshiron, nosey, opinionated, pretentious, arrogant, smug, unreliable, so annoyingly up themselves even Wood Elves apologise for them. But they are undoubtedly have some of the greatest artisans, scholars and magically gifted beings in Hamanshiron's history.

Thinking about how little time I actually used social media anymore because during the writing hiatus I had a bunch of mental health episodes and had to step away, that all consuming almost addictive behaviour just went away. It's weird. Miss

@evilhat.bsky.social just wondering if you have a UK distributor trying to find out for my FLGS

Ate half a tub of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream that was sitting in the freezer, last night. My stomach does not agree with that decision today.

As of the end of our Star Wars campaign, I am no longer the GM for that block on our group calendar. It marks the first time in over 5 years I have played in a campaign as a PC and the first time since 2nd edition I was a player in a D&D campaign. I have so much figuring out to do.

I have 21 of 534 mission outlines written, In already had the first 10 written before I started writing them again, it's been 4 days, it will only take me 6 months to write at this pace. I have a very sore head.

Having to put off playtesting the new rules cause I won't have time between now and finishing the Star Wars campaign to finish the rules so it's in a playable state, handed off GM reigns to one of the other players so I don't have to think about 2 campaigns while also writing rules

When you look at the size of your campaign area for Star Trek is 80 subsectors and average 7 systems per subsector. Nearly 600 mission outlines need to be made up if they survey the whole sector but I need 84 for the beginning of the campaign depending on direction of travel.

My dad has never in 26 and a half years of work turned up at anywhere I have ever worked (most of my work has been in retail, pubs or clubs) yet today he turned up, I wasn't even there, I am on annual leave til Tuesday. That's just weird turning up when he knew I wouldn't be there

Unpopular opinion. The GM is responsible for only about 10% of how good your game will be. The players actions have a much bigger impact than anything the GM does short of being abusive. If you're not engaging with the story or the other players you're the reason your game
