While working this week, I'm listening to "The Children's Blizzard" because I've always been interested in first-hand accounts rather than just recaps of the whole storm, and ... all I can say is after five hours I now know more about the science of meteorology in the 1800s ...

This cat, y'all. She exudes the vibe of a 60-year old overworked school bus driver who has Seen Some Shit In Her Day and is Not Here For Any Of Your Shenanigans. 😂😂😂

And here are the Patreon ceramics, all finished!

This little turdball (and a handful of it's friends/relatives) are why there haven't been a lot of birdfeeder pictures lately. I'm slowly whittling the numbers down, but … it's a process, when you refuse to use either poison or snap traps or glue traps. Why do I have to be such an animal lover?!

I was going to post a picture of my dad and write a little for his birthday, but boy howdy did it get out of hand!
December 18th again? Already???
CW for death of loved ones and the stress of grief at the holiday season. Storytime! I'll try not to make this unreadably long. (Cue Morgan Freeman voice: "she did not, in fact, not make this unreadably long") This is one of the two photos I have of Tim and my father (the other is a picture of Tim and I sitting on the couch with my dad and Barbara.

The HaldeCraft staff is cold this morning, and so we're running late around here today.

Before I built the Patreon ceramics for November (a pitcher), I wanted to make a test one. Here it is with the two pieces put together; I needed to figure out what I wanted to do with the seam, and also what sort of handle did I want to make.

I've been under the weather the last couple of days - either post-craft-show-crash, or "you spent ten hours in wet shoes and socks in cold rainy weather and NOW YOU WILL PAY" - so I've had a lot to do but have been crashing right after. But I got a few restocked things put up on the website today…

What do you do when you make a Big Beautiful Bowl, and it sells? You make another! Ok, technically I made two, to bring to GLAM with me - but this one of the pair came back home - so now you can admire it online (www.haldecraft.com/products/big...). The drips on this bowl are like watercolors.

Yesterday was amazing! Wet, cold, wet, windy, and did I mention wet? I had to buy a brewery sweatshirt to change into after unloading and setting up because I was SOAKED! But Gainesville, y'all SHOWED UP! In spite of the rain and closing down an hour early (because rain), it was a great day!

Scenes from a work day; everything I have that's sea turtles, finally all bisqued and ready for glazing (plus a custom address plaque, in progress).

These girls, y'all. I love how they love each other. Are they my rescue dogs? Or am I their rescue human???

So, those two mugs I showed off last week, the ones I mentioned earlier didn't turn out well so I went in a different direction for the ones that were left…. here they are, in Little Geek, and honestly they look so bad I don't even want to show them off.

It's Works-in-Progress Wednesday, and I'm working on getting ready for a craft show! It's the only one I regularly do, and it's one I've been doing for twelve years now. It's a fantastic event, and the coordinator does an amazing job of choosing vendors, arranging the space, and finding food trucks.

It's hard to get mad at your employee for being late to work when she's this cute. And also using you as a pillow, so you're going to be late as well…
