All around weirdo
Who let the cat out of the bag? Sometimes the bag itself decides that it is time for the cat to be let out. Poor Jason was so confused (his natural state).

Don't want to think about the world or the ongoing job search, so here are my kittens!

Poor Jason was ambushed VERY successfully by Bishop, hissed loudly (for the first time), and was puffed up and confused for at least 10 minutes. Yes, he is named for The Good Place. No molotov cocktails were thrown.

Kitties of BlueSky - We adopted 5 siblings who's feral momma had been living around my father-in-law's house. Momma is now fixed and adopted to a neighbor, and I am madly in love with these fuzzballs!

LEGO Star Wars advent day 8 - Jabba's Sail Barge (The Khetanna), from Return of the Jedi. This is Jabba's mobile palace. A nice little build! This barge itself is a large, slow, and very luxurious. 4/10 for Swooshablility. It has deck guns and it blows up REAL good. 8/10 Pew-pewiness. (1/2)

I have spent so many hours looking for these in games over the years! They float in game, but don't move. 1/10 for Swooshability. 0/10 for Pew-pewiness. 12/10 for Sheer-Awesomeness! I have no other versions of this. And I love this one. (2/2)

LEGO Star Wars advent day 7 - LEGO Minikit. Not from the movies, shows, or even just Star Wars, this is one of the hidden Minikits from the various LEGO video games. You have to find 5-10 per level to unlock a bonus LEGO miniature. I LOVE THIS! (1/2)

They are supposed to be slow, but it is such a great build - Split the difference, and it gets 7/10 Swooshability. It is a fighter/bomber, so at least 8/10 Pew-pewiness. (2/3)

LEGO Star Wars advent day 6 - Y-Wing. The OTHER iconic Rebel ship from the original Star Wars, used in the Death Star attack. Slow and lumbering compared to the X-wing, I have always loved the look of this ship! And this build is fantastic. Very simple, yet gets all the points across. (1/3)

AT-ATs (which I pronounce @ @) that I have - One in the original figure scale, but not the one from the 80s (still bitter), 2 die-cast ones, one Action Fleet, and 6 Lego ones of various scales. (3/3)

They are big, lumbering fighting machines, so 2/10 for Swooshability. However, the same argument gives 10/10 for Pew-pewiness! And compare the build to the LAST advent AT-AT from 2012 - This is a HUGE improvement. (2/3)

LEGO Star Wars advent day 5 - AT-AT Walker. THE iconic vehicle from The Empire Strikes Back. The Empire used these to win the Battle of Hoth. And they look damn cool! (1/3)

Always good to have more cannon-fodder for our good guys. They don't have rocket packs, so just the normal minifig 7/10 Swooshability. Blasters are built in to the arms, so 9/10 Pew-pewiness. (2/3)
December 6, 2024 at 1:00 AM
LEGO Star Wars advent day 4 - B2 Super Battle Droid. An armored version of the basic battle droid, these guys were first seen in Attack of the Clones. Big, dumb, and a more challenging for our heroes. These are a staple of the advent calendars, and have changed very little. (1/3)

How many do I own? Just talking the basic TIE, let's see: 3 from the original figure scale, including the original beat up one from the 70s, 4 smaller die-case ones, 1 Action Fleet one, at least 1 Micro Machine, 14 LEGO versions of various sizes, and 6 from the miniatures games. (3/3)

This is a great build, that has improved over time (this is the 4th calendar that has included it). I will put in a picture of the first one, from 2011, that I am STILL offended by. 10/10 for Swooshability, 10/10 for Pew-Pewiness, and bonus 10/10 for Blowupiness. Another win! (2/3)
December 4, 2024 at 7:13 PM
LEGO Star Wars advent day 3 - TIE Fighter. After the X-Wing on day one, it only make sense to feature the OTHER most iconic starfighter from the series. This is the TIE fighter, or TIE/ln. Very fast and agile, though lacking the shields and hyperdrive of the X-wing. (1/3)

She is a minifig, which are very tossable, so 7/10 for Swooshability. She comes with a mug and no blaster, but it is Leia... So 8/10 for Pew-pewiness anyways. Another solid entry! (2/3)

LEGO Star Wars Advent day 2 - Princess Leia Organa in holiday sweater. I love the minifigs in holiday sweaters. The designers obviously have so much fun! Leia has a Battle of Hoth design, both front and back, to go with the winter theme. (1/3)

As for how many X-wings I have now... 4 scaled for the 3.75" figures, including my original one from the 70s, 3 miniatures from various lines, 12 LEGO versions, ranging from the minis like this one to the huge Ultimate Collectors one, and 4 miniatures from the Armada and X-Wing games. (3/3)
December 3, 2024 at 5:59 AM
They have put out several X-wings in the calendars before, but they were more complicated builds. This is much sleeker, and I like it a LOT better. 10/10 for Swooshability, 10/10 for Pewpewiness. This is a great start! (2/3)

For the past few years, I have reviewed the LEGO Star Wars advent calendar on the Book of Faces. So I will try it here!
LEGO Star Wars Advent, Day 1 - X-Wing fighter. An absolute classic, the T-65B X-wing Starfighter is one of the most iconic ships from the original trilogy. (1/3)
