They are surrendering the functional manpower of our consent and indifference with their screaming incompetence, wanton bigotry and five-alarm corruption. We have never seen a more desperate band of misfits. And the capitulation of so many of our elites has been despicable and disqualifying.

Bad in every way. The country’s saving grace may be the endemicity of our electoral politics. They’re obviously going to have to come at the citizenry much harder if they hope to keep us from exercising our franchise. The harder they push, the harder we push back. We know they are corrupt, and weak.

Hegseth’s “fog of war” remark today troubled me a lot today in this regard. It was an attempted excuse in the absence of war, a trial balloon for grander illegality and license.

The GOP has no viable political path to avoiding midterm losses, esp. if AI bubble bursts. War becomes the play.
