What does good listening look like?

In a new paper, we found that how you listen shapes how others mentally picture and evaluate you.

Across 3 studies (N = 1,509), good listeners were linked to warmth, competence, humility, and strong values.

Can AI listen like a human?

Since 2020, I'm exploring how listening fosters companionate love within teams. Days before this paper was accepted, my beloved daughter Noa, 12, was taken from us. This work is about love and a tribute to Noa, whose love will always guide me.

I was shocked to watch the recent Congress hearing. This letter from 7 Nobel laureates mentions 4 listening papers by @nettaweinstein.bsky.social , myself, and our collaborators. I hope universities adopt the suggested workshops and lectures to combat antisemitism and extremism through listening.
