Yes the age of AI that is unfolding mirrors not only the Gilded Age of the US but the Victorian era of industrialization that transpired at nearly the same junction in time. How to ensure AI benefits the average person you ask; no small task as AI is owned and being developed by capitalism. Guy

You're welcome A. J.. Delighted that my article has peaked your interest & subsequent dialogue. As far as AI being the latest technology, without a doubt. Only the proverbial tip of the iceberg. Personally I am in the ranks of Yann LeCun & his vision of World Model AI or hybrid, exciting advances.

Thank you Gary. I concur removing the two child cap is a positive. Like you I hope it came from a compassionate heart and not one of political calculation. On a lighter note: I too am a dog fancier. My treasured Border Terriers, Ginkgo and Kiwi. Wishing you and yours a brilliantly happy day. Cheers

Gary a good question. I follow UK politics as the UK is experiencing similar social economic gyrations as we in the US . Hoping UK politics sets a blueprint for a way out of the quagmire. Perplexed "a little bit more" doesn't resonate with someone who as you point out had more modest beginnings.

Thank you for writing/publishing an important and sensitive article on the subject of prostate cancer. I am living with non-aggressive prostate cancer. I have chosen to monitor the PSA levels rather than submit my body to any of the various treatments. A personal choice. Cheers Guy

Thank you A. J. , delighted you found the article of interested. Well taken points on how AI has potential for applications to serve society as a whole. That being said, with its present projectory it remains near an exclusive tool to largely benefit the elite classes. Cheers Guy
