The graph probably just measures the amount of buffer, unless they accounted for that.

Tesla has a factory in China somewhere, they’ll shut down Berlin and import to Europe from there.

This is what I need to know if BYD, xPeng, Xiaomi, etc. have figured out. The kind of conditions that used to require dozens of iterations.

Huh CAN’T IMAGINE WHY

Oh. Oh no.

You have to write those year-end reviews someday

Corollary: if batteries got 3% better per year for the next decade, that would be… fine!

Bigger capacity could help, but be hamstrung by low charging speeds. There is no MwH solution in the U.S. and AFAIK none is forthcoming.

If everyone's battery capacity doubled today, those 20-30 minute 15-85% (summer-only) charging sessions become 40-60 minute sessions.

45% don’t, that’s basically a coin flip! The workforce could adjust, but if learning the skills without an employer footing the bill costs $150/month or more…

We’ve had several incidents in the last quarter because engineers trusted the AI code review knew what it was talking about.

But for writing unit tests nothing is better.

Which is to say… A/C equipment is notoriously simple, and I have no idea how the signal that’s coming in from the outside is affected by the arbitrary length of wire is being interpreted by the device.

I’m glad it seems to be working but some sort of benchmarking would be very useful here.

…splice back together, and everything will be great. Well, this repeated 3 or 4 more times, and that’s when I noticed the temperature was at least 10° F off.

It turned out that the temp shown was at least partially a function of the resistance through the wire. Less wire, inaccurate temps.
