Great all around. I remember growing up, pet stores use to occasionally sell these as pets. That was disastrous: the poor creatures would languish and die.

Congrats! Looks great.

He also did a good job fortifying the boundaries of the empire. Rome was coming apart at the seams. Except for some stumbles, most of his policies really stabilized things.

Yes, the message in this aged well.

The opening narration. To my twisted ears, it sounds like he's saying "dick chasing". Yes, this certainly can be classified as horror-noir.

It's sad. Blaisdell seemed to always get stiffed or his plans crumble to nothing. Even his destitute (agoraphobic?) widow got jipped out of any royalties from the later models. I have no inside information, but reading between the lines, I wonder if he was difficult to work with.

I believe this is Blaisdell's first monster in film. I actually had a copy of Blaisdell & Burn's short lived monster effects zine. I recall it had a "how to" on making this cutie.

This one ran frequently here on the latenight/ weekend Chiller theaters. The hard boiled narration and noir elements are a plus. The main character would be handy to have around in case of a flat tire. But, "Lieutenant Dick Chasen". Heh!

Oh so true to form. Thanx Hillary, for elevating this asshat.

With all McCoy's troubles and baggage, even his blushes of intolerance--that he clearly worked on to overcome-- he is 10x the man of any racist MAGA jerk out there.

What a story! Thanx for posting this. I have to wonder about all the other Jane and John Does out there.

Good article. We have a major hump to overcome with the bolus of moderate dems who seem hell-bent on snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Case in point is the shut-down. The decision of the DNC to bury its findings on the Harris failure is troubling.

I love the sound of the tropical rainforest at night!

What a great idea! I bet half the MAGA assholes can't swim and will drown.

Everything is good about this "insect" except the pants!

Is that suppose to be the "panther woman" on the poster? Her depiction in the film beats the poster any day.

I enjoy this one. But I aways feel a twinge of sorrow when I see Nick Adams in these.

"I should have stayed on the island." This is definitely a 'must see'. Body horror at its best, with a slow, steady and creepy build-up.

B5 & Farscape. A commenter for the article mentioned "The Lexx". It was quite good till some late season episodes and deserves an honorable mention.

I'm sure they are in need of protection.
