I think the fact it was supposed to be advisory is particularly significant as people possibly didn’t vote, seeing it as less important to do so because it was only advisory. I have never heard a leave voter provide a coherent argument for their decision and most now regret it.

All the absolutely major cock ups which have affected people and yet he still writes for a newspaper and gets paid shed loads to talk shit. We still pay him too. All the rest of us would have been sacked and lost our pension. No wonder we are in a mess. As to why he said it 🤷♀️ cos he’s a dick!
