I hope also to try and take some good lessons learned from the book I'm currently reading (GMs Guide to Proactive Roleplaying) to hopefully have players WANT to visit these new places. This will be set up with a list of goals, short, long, and mid-term.

When the players join, the world would have just gone through its first 'tidefall'. A global storm+earthquake that carves geographical features, causing islands to emerge from the sea, rifts in the earth will open to reveal ancient ruins. But these will happen more as the campaign progresses. /2
