Daughter and I played Hot Streak and Magical Athlete back to back last night. Her review was "I like Hot Streak more as it's fun and the racers are cool looking. Magical Athlete was frustrating and some of the powers made my head hurt. Also dad is dumb" #boardgames

It’s my birthday this weekend so we cracked open a game we haven’t played in nearly seven years. Five player Battlestar Galactica. A stupidly expensive game these days but so much fun.

He stayed when others walked away. Players are temporary but this guy clearly loves our club just as much as we do. Could have won so much more in his career but instead he gave his prime to us, eventually getting his reward in Bilbao.

Trying something and failing does not mean you are incapable. Walk away, train, improve, recognise where you went wrong, then come back and smash it. You are capable of anything you put your mind to. Two years ago I was so mentally hurt by not making the finish. This is redemption.
