What are you trying to say? Use your words.

Ok, but one reason some prefer “American Indian” to “Native American” is that the latter suggests a deep connection to America as a nation. So it’s not “dumb.”

Why would you not take advantage of someone from ICE willing to speak with you candidly?
February 10, 2026 at 5:13 PM
I’m just trying to understand what you think you’re accusing me of. By the way, if you’re actually curious (probably not) as to why some people prefer to self-identify as American Indian rather than Native American, one reason is that they think the latter ties them too closely to US nationality.
February 10, 2026 at 12:41 AM
How do you “insinuate things” for other people? I think what you’re trying to say is I’m speaking on behalf of other people. Is that accurate?
February 10, 2026 at 12:24 AM
Nah, it totally is. Why are you asking me what tribe I’m from?
February 10, 2026 at 12:14 AM
Did I say any particular tribe prefers the term, mrdickpound69, as opposed to individuals?
February 10, 2026 at 12:13 AM
Well obviously it is.
February 10, 2026 at 12:09 AM
What region are you talking about?
February 10, 2026 at 12:08 AM
Wait, so what are you speaking in?
February 9, 2026 at 10:57 PM
I’m speaking from the second person: “you” aren’t some kind of last word on this topic.
February 9, 2026 at 8:27 PM
If I were to tell you what tribe I’m from, would you accept this easily verifiable claim that preference for the term Native American is far from universal?
February 9, 2026 at 8:22 PM
“Actual indigenous people” also prefer American Indian. Among people who identify as Indigenous on the U.S., there are significantly more who prefer the term. There are real historical and cultural reasons for that.
February 9, 2026 at 8:02 PM
This is flat-out wrong. It’s often the preferred term.
February 9, 2026 at 7:40 PM
He objectively isn’t wrong here, though. Among other evidence, half of the people who identify as indigenous in the U.S. Census prefer American Indian. 37 percent prefer Native American.
February 9, 2026 at 7:39 PM
It’s not only accepted, it’s often preferred. People trying to nail you on this are ridiculous.
February 9, 2026 at 7:31 PM
This is just not true. Many prefer the term American Indian.
February 9, 2026 at 7:30 PM
How does a non-immigrant illustrate the immigration divide?
February 8, 2026 at 2:33 AM
“You’re doing a disservice to your cause,” says person who hates you and your cause.

[Wish I could remember who to credit for that.]

Why does it matter whether or not we agree that it’s “genuine” by some mysterious metric? The salient thing is their opposition to abortion rights, not what’s behind it.
February 6, 2026 at 4:45 PM
Actually, I'm wrong about that--it's 15-20, not 30.
February 5, 2026 at 5:06 PM
What product are you referring to whose price increased 100 percent? And from when to when?
February 5, 2026 at 4:56 PM
Ah, the ol’ “enlarge someone’s profile pic” gambit. Well-played, sir or madam!
February 5, 2026 at 4:55 PM
Inventing categories of poverty (technical, actual) sure seems like semantics to me.
