It might be! I’m not sure — I’ll post it here if it is

The stats for young viewers are very, very good, so it’s possible a micro generation of university students missed it (I also watched no TV as a student, 20 years ago), but the data shows teens and people in mid-20s seem to have been hugely into it

I wanted to be a historian, so yes! But podcasting didn’t exist then… so, no!

The restaurant in the medieval refectory next to the Minster is also very nice — but York has TONNES of great restaurants and bistros, if you check out Trip Adviser

It’s a brilliant city — for food, I highly recommend Cafe No.8 Bistro in Gillygate. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful

Depending on your interests, the York Castle Museum, National Railway Museum, York Minster, Jorvik Centre, and Fairfax House are all great tourist attractions

Very excited for this, Edgar! Slightly alarmed that the future dystopia is feeling quite topical, though…

Honestly, I used to be so hopeful for our future. Whenever I do live events, the number one question I get asked is “which era in history would you like to live in?” And my answer has always been “now!” But I genuinely can’t say that anymore — my optimism is gone

There are many subtle and complex arguments one can have about the future of the BBC — but I guarantee you that no other channel or streaming service will be as committed to factual programming, children’s education, history shows, religious discussion, poetry, arts, or state of the nation debate

This is excellent public service
