If you give a bully what he's demanding, he just keeps bullying you. If you make the consequences of bullying that the bully gets something he really doesn't want, he's less likely to keep bullying. ... continued

I like the BC government's strategy of not selling booze that comes from red states.
Pulling US products from store shelves makes a lot of sense, but we shoud be targetting the retaliation more.
So why isn't Canada putting a 100% tariff on Teslas!

So I'm not really using BlueSky, but I'm getting occasional chat messages on here.
So far, I've had 8 messages, apparently from actual people (three of whom I know in real life).
And I've had 13 messages from "deleted accounts." Presumably all spam.
Not a very encouraging percentage!

The landline in our kitchen died. I'd happily get rid of it but...
So most phone stores don't sell the things any more.
Amazon does. And almost all of the ones they sell are designed for seniors -- great big buttons and such.

OK, let's see if this is better than that other place. I like that the obvious abbreviation for this site is BS. Shows they have a fundamentally honest self-image.
