3 months ago, I 'rested' my solo business of 15 yrs to work full time as Environmental Awareness Officer with Carlow County Council. So far, I've no regrets. My role is all about the #circulareconomy & it feels good to work in a supported position with schools, colleges, individuals & communities 💚

Sitting in the hospital watching them clean up after a patient gets discharged. Seriously, THE WASTE is beyond shocking. It's a wonder I'm not being admitted myself seeing this. Never mind the gloves & the wipes, but the unopened plasters, slings, heavy duty aprons and even THE CURTAINS. Almost

11,000 tonnes of e-waste annually arises from disposed and unused chargers.

Common chargers will reduce e-waste by almost a thousand tonnes per year whilst helping consumers to save €250 million a year on unnecessary chargers, and hours of time box searching.

I don't recall watching snow fall so consistently & long in the #Carlow hills before, especially with another @met.ie weather alert for 5pm this evening. It hasn't stopped falling since we've been up 🙏 we don't lose power as we'll also lose water and heating 🙈 @carlowweather.bsky.social #sneachta

Looks like we'll be making bread if holed up for a few days and drinking black coffee 😬 hope the folk who've emptied the shelves actually use the produce they've bought, depriving the rest of us 😳

A lot of focus on us not meeting EV targets in Ireland over the last couple of days, and cost being a factor. I haven't heard anyone mention the cost offset by no fuel bills mentioned. Our EV pays for itself.
