Passionate about the relationship between humans and the planet papatuanuku. I post about practical sustainable actions and ideas: from #peace to #gardening, #community, #trees, #oneness and everything #interconnected🌏
From Earth, with Love❣️🕉️🌳
Green spaces, less pollution, more community shared areas, are better for people and for the temperature of cities.

A good idea to adopt these strategies as urban areas are being built, not when already done. Advocating this in my district.

We know how to cool our cities and towns. So why aren’t we doing it?
Cities swelter in heatwaves - they heat up faster and stay hotter. But Australia has few strategies to cool them. Here’s how we could shift from laggard to leader.

I speak at the Council this week to call for tree protection in our district.

I wrote an article about it and invite feedback and exemples of tree protection in the world.

This beautiful well-managed avenue of protected trees show it can be done.

We've definitely messed it up. We now have to "actively manage" forests that used to be self sustainable, rich and diverse, homes and food for many species.

Carrot and lobbyism, touting economic benefits is widely used by exploiting industries like mining or forestry, to make people accept it🤑 and ignore the negative effects, which are called externalisation. It'd be cheaper to pay them to not do it!

Nice story I didn't know about #TheBeattles George Harrison garden and forest. BRAVO🙏🌳🐦🕉️

Great to do it when we can.

We too plant trees and regenerate out little land we are grateful custodians of.
The reward is beauty, abundance and #Love of nurturing a garden.

Yes we are taking #climateaction at a household level and it creates a #beautiful biodiverse home AND means we are resilient relaxed healthy AND it costs less. Here is a list of our climate actions, started many years ago regenerativelifestyle.blog/2024/04/11/c...

Quality time #inthegarden with our vegetables, tidying up, aerating the soil, making space for the growing plants. I smiled all the way, absolutely merge in the Earth with love and #gratitude, I know nature will reward us ten folds. So abundant.

I thought $1Million wasn't much once shared. So thank you for putting it in context...

I also emailed Mr Luxon to suggest to send the military to help people with the clean up.
$500,000 to just Bill English to provide one bogus report on Kainga Ora so the Govt could reduce public housing.

$1m to countless marae in NZ providing food, shelter, clothing, reassurance, a bed, wraparound support and assistance and $200,000 to others & Luxon thinks he’s being generous. #nzpol

As the #energytransition is happening even without government support, it's interesting to read that 64% of people believe renewables are a better option.

The poll also shows people haven't connected yet with the current government damaging actions. #nzpol

As it seems half the world is under flooding, and half the world in snow storms, it reminds me of a fiction series I enjoyed a while ago by Kim Stanley Robinson, written in early 2000. What a visionary!

This #NZgovernment agrees that #climate change is human induced!👏
But they:
- stopped all the previous government infrastructure progress when they arrived 2 years ago
- pushed away the climate commission recommendations
- cancelled or reduced climate goals
- can't afford repairing, nor help? #nzpol

Bhutan forest is considered sacred, says David Attenborough. 70% of the land is covered with trees. The home for abundant rare wildlife.

In parenthood program, on TVNZ1 .

Maori consider the forest sacred. But only 30% is protected. Somewhat.

#meditation 🕉️ is an important enabler of #change. By calming the mind, unfixing ideas, opening space for new, relaxing and regenerating bodies and energy, we operate differently. Letting go, in the flow. And it's easy and free. It changed my world and I believe it can change the world.

I have worked for tree protection, and propose to create a tree protection in our district.
