Rule-of-law Democrat

I'm content that I did all I could to support Democrats defeating the GOP in 16, 18, 20, 22, & 24. I hope you'll consider doing the same […]

The American electorate ignored 1/6/21 on 11/5/24 and now almost every day is like reliving J6 during Trump 2.0 😢

Outrage and opinions you see on your social media timeline do not well represent the electorate that has to be negotiated with and treated with kid gloves, I'd like to once again state.

Support for Abolishing ICE:

Support: 45%
Oppose: 45%

FWIW, on Xitter there are a number of gun rights people, libertarians, and actual conservatives who are (with varying degrees of caution) criticizing the murder.

If that keeps up Trump could create a problem for himself, especially given that all those implicated in the murder are attacking 2A.

The expectation is that the six House-passed appropriations bills (including DHS) will be packaged into one for a Senate vote.

Tough situation for Democrats because they secured a variety of non-DHS funding wins (mental health, child care, housing, Pell Grants & more) in the overall deal.

What I heard the spokesperson say was that protesters made it impossible for BCA to investigate in Minneapolis.

Fox News host:

"I've gotten my hands on letter that AG Bondi said she sent to Gov. Tim Walz. It is strongly worded. The AG calls for the governor to support the men and women of ICE, to repeal the state's sanctuary policies, and to allow the DOJ to access state voter rolls."

Bovino statement:

"This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement"

Emil Maurice is considered the founder of the SS so that's the role that Stephen Miller has in modern GOP imo.

I think Bovino is the Republican Heinrich Himmler.

I do not know what proportion of the Minneapolis National Guard is MAGA and I believe that anyone calling for them to be called out by Tim Walz who doesn't not know that fact is a fool whose opinions should be ignored.

Minneapolis police chief Brian O'Hara says that the victim was a 37-year-old white man and US citizen with no criminal record and that he was a legally permitted gun owner.

I'll let you know if I see the National Rifle Association defend the right for the ICE observer to carry a gun.

Would you support the campaign slogan, "Reform Law Enforcement"?

Research scientists as well as many professions have not been willing to take political stances over the decades because of the fear they had about how that might impact their access to funding.

In part because of their science, they have allowed Republicans into power and their funding is cut now.

Important example of the difference between using passive and active voice that all journalism and English classes to discuss on Monday.

Federal agents weren’t “involved in a shooting,” federal agents fatally shot someone.

Republicans are stating that the latest victim of their ICE gestapo was armed.

Don't let it go unstated that it is Republicans who want for every American to always carry a gun everywhere they go.

We support Governor Walz’s demand to end the violent ICE occupation immediately. It’s not just Minnesota that has had it!

Just noticed that in his demented post imposing more unconstitutional tariffs on Canada that he called "Governor" Carney again.

What a clown, but we do have to assume that he is intentionally working to weaken the USA by isolating us from our allies.

He is a Kremlin agent!

Not breaking any major laws
Not escalating tense situations
Not carrying weapons
Situational awareness
Recording and documenting everything
Carrying ID and emergency contacts

WHAT DOES NOT KEEP YOU SAFE

Keeping your identity secret
