Well, national security isn't a valid reason as far as I know. I'm no legal expert, but my point is that it seems like bill was designed with some foresight that this might happen and tried to balance a line between protecting victims and not letting them weasel out of it for free.

The good news is that while this is theoretically possible, the DoJ is required to report to congress about everything they redact and give justifications for it, and congress is allowed to appeal those reasons. Unfortunately that means this story is going to drag on for months.
