Yesterday on Instagram, I mass-followed a bunch of cool artists, but my feed continue to show me new people I've never seen before and non-artists. :( What the fuck, I just want to have feed of people who I actually follow, not the highlighted bullshit that the machine gets wrong about me.

So... I have a lot of hornworms that grew too big way too quickly to be my geckos' food. They're now my pet until they die of old age as moth.
About a dozen of adult-sized hornworms in a container with leaves, mesh, plastic lid, follaics, sticks, soil, sliced grape tomatoes, and spinaches. Upclose to one worm eating tomato upside down with back bent backward. Upclose of a worm face munching on a tomato seed.

Can we start saying "a person's reality shapes how fiction affects them"? Everyone responds to the same media differently and it is not a universal experience. MANY things influence how a person reacts to & interprets media such as how they're raised, mental health, education, religion, & culture.🧵
Aronson, Elliot, Timothy D. Wilson, Robin M. Akert, and Samuel R. Sommers. 2018. Social Psychology, global ed., 9th ed. London: Pearson Education. The usual assumption has been that watching violence makes people more aggressive, but aggressive people are also drawn to watching violence. Moreover, another entirely independent factor may be causing both. Some children are born with a mental or emotional predisposition toward violence; or learn it as toddlers from the way they are treated by abusive parents or siblings; or in other ways develop aggressiveness as a personality trait. In turn, this trait or predisposition manifests itself in both their aggressive behavior and their liking for watching violence or playing aggressive games (Bushman, 1995; Ferguson, 2013). In an experiment investigating the interaction between temperament and exposure to violence, children watched either a film depicting a great deal of police violence or an exciting but nonviolent film about bike racing. They then played a game of floor hockey. Watching the violent film did increase the number of aggressive acts the children committed during the hockey game- but primarily by those who had previously been rated as highly aggressive by their teachers. These kids hit others with their sticks, threw elbows, and yelled aggressive things at their opponents to a much greater extent than did either the kids rated as nonaggressive who had also watched the violent films or the kids rated as aggressive who had watched the nonviolent film (Josephson, 1987). Likewise, a few longitudinal studies have shown that exposure to violence in media or video games has the strongest relationship in children who are already predisposed to violence (Anderson & Dill, 2000). Thus, it may be that watching media violence merely server to give them permission to express their aggressive inclinations (Ferguson & Kilburn, 2009). The same conclusi

The best way to get Bibi the Deaf Cat attention is by touch, which is what this butterfly did. :) This animation took me about 4 hours to make, hopefully the more animation I make, the more quicker I will post videos! Please enjoy this video. I will post time-lapse tomorrow!

It took me a while to finally figure out his character design that is meaningful, simple, and fun to draw.

I wasn't planning on making an animation for this year's Art Fight... But it was a good practice! Animating this for 6 hours had me realize I really need a personal animation mentor to help me unlock tricks, technique, and shortcuts in a more effective way with 2D animation.

Google has recently removed the ability to send video messages on google meets. This feature was useful to pace communcations and make them accessible. What about people who don't hear and/or use sign language? What about those who don't want to be obligated to cold calls?
