Waking up with a story in your head that you realize doesn’t exist and the Universe in this moment has given you the task of finishing it. Better strike while the iron is hot.

Working on a black book for Vul. Here is one of the sections.

“The universe does not exist on the rule of threes. It is actually the rule of four. The fourth pillar is an imaginary number, yet with Vul fictional concepts like apathy can merge with the synthesis of opposite.”

While rewriting chapter one of Vul, I googled up “what is the name of the white whale in Moby Dick?” As soon as I finished typing it, I realized how cooked my brain was.

I have been doing a lot of world-building lately for Vul. Would anyone want to see what I have written for the planets?

One of my favorite things about D&D is that a lot of things I practice in the game translate into my writing.

So the other day, I got some feedback for the first chapter of Vul. It was quite harsh, mainly issues with pacing. Oh well, that is something I can always improve. So we are hopping back in.

Honestly it’s a great way to flavor your world building. I’m going to start doing the same.
If I ever run another D&D game I have decided that denizens of the underdark will regularly refer to the surface as the “overlight”.

Why is everyone surprised that most MAGA tweets are from people in different countries? Does no one remember Milo Yiannopoulos or Ian Miles Cheong?

I recently finished rewriting the first chapter of Vul. I decided to rewrite it after wanting to shift the story to first person. I am not going to post it for a bit, but it feels good getting back into it.

Last night I had a dream about clam vampires. I don’t know if they fed on the blood of people or other clams. The dreams did not foretell.

I've had a few 'what do you do' convs recently, and everyone on hearing I'm an author comes out with "so how do you come up with ideas?", just like every book or movie about a writer has them staring numbly into space because they don't have an idea for the next book. And look, that is Not It.

It’s crazy how Curse of Strahd never had a Metroidvania.

Post a book you love from the 80s. No explanations, no reviews, just covers.

i just read something about grief from C.S. Lewis and his book, “A Grief Observed”

basically, when someone you love dies, it isn’t just them that you miss, but the parts of yourself that person brought out of you that can never be brought out again.

i feel that with my dad.
