The pie chart represents what much of America THINKS is the breakdown of the American "political divide"

The graph shows a more accurate representation.
20.5 ineligible to vote and those under 18
34.7 chose not to vote
22.1 voted Democratic Party
22.7 voted republican

I'm a realist. I know it would have only been the good states. I know the sh¡holes would still be sh¡tholes.

But there most definitely would be more than 15 states above the average Human Development Index average..... and there'd be more than 5 or 6 states on par with peer nation's best countries

Even pro-suffering for themselves!

In the 2024 presidential election 26 out of the 28 worst states for Human Development Index voted for trump.

HDI uses education, wealth and life expectancy.

All 15 states above the United State's overall average voted for Harris.

It's statistically evident.

Washington DC is on par with the best countries in the world for health, wealth and life expectancy.

EVERY SINGLE STATE that sent troops to DC are at or near the bottom.

Making your state worse to own the Libs. By picking up trash.....

But the reality is this is what American politics actually looks like.

This is what most people envision when they think about American politics.

Ahhhhh...... the "values" of oklahoma.

Come for the values and stay for the falling quality of life......

My opinion is that Washington has to create an environment in which people want to stay. Whereas California has the natural draw. So Washington is either consciously or subconsciously trying to win the "liveability" battle. Similar with Colorado and Minnesota.

Democrats have had a winning hand for 56 years.... but playing this hand forces the country to acknowledge its deep systemic problems.

The divide between Democrats and republicans is statistical.

15 top states for HDI voted Harris
26 of 28 worst voted trump

The racism and hatred are killing us...
July 26, 2025 at 11:18 PM
I'm genuinely curious why we talk about "American cities" as a 'whole' when there's such a divide...... even in America. The 14 states, and DC, that are above the United States overall HDI average all voted for Kamala Harris in 2024. These states are in the ballpark of Denmark.
July 18, 2025 at 7:20 PM
HDI(human development index) includes education in it's formula.

All 14 states above the United States overall HDI average voted for Kamala Harris in 2024.

26 out of the lowest(worst) states voted for trump.

You're right. Statistically.
July 16, 2025 at 4:05 AM
HDI uses education as a part of the formula....

All 14 states above the United States overall HDI average voted for Kamala in 2024.

26 out of the 28 LOWEST states voted for trump.

Why is anyone shocked they want to make more stupid people.
July 15, 2025 at 2:07 AM
All states above the U.S. overall average voted for Kamala Harris in 2024. Plus D.C.

26 of the lowest 28 states voted for trump.

You can say life expectancy, wealth and education are culturally biased but even if you separate them from this particular scale the quantifiable trends still follow....

"Democrats have left these places behind"
"Democrats don't care about these places"
"Democrats(politicians) don't come here"

So, in the absence of Democrats, who exactly has been running the 26 states at the bottom of the statistics?

It's infuriating how republicans simply aren't held accountable
July 7, 2025 at 9:32 PM
In 2024 19 states plus the District of Columbia voted for Kamala Harris

14 of those 19, as well as D.C. are ABOVE the United States overall HDI average of .938

EVERY state that voted for trump is BELOW this average

26 of the 28 lowest states overall voted for trump

"America is divided"

HDI tells the story of the divide.

All 13 states above the United States average voted for Harris in 2024

19 of the bottom 20 and 25 of the bottom 27 voted trump
[Delaware and New Mexico being the outliers]

Divided by outcomes.

I use HDI(human development index) as a "catch all" for political issues and their outcomes. Hdi takes into account life expectancy(an outcome of 'health care').

Every single one of the top 13 states above the US average voted Harris in 2024.

19 of 20 lowest voted trump.

It's all VERY predictable
