I've not actually dropped an official introduction, but I promised to drop some info on my current projects this weekend so I figured I'd mix the intro in too. I'm GrapeJelly, I'm a #gamedev working primarily in #godot. My content is usually gaming related, but I branch out every now and then. 1/9
Good news and Bad news friends. Good news is, I got a job! A full time job 🙌 I'm very excited to start on that.
Bad news is, it looks like I'm gonna need to pause streaming until I settle in at the new job, as I also need to now hunt for an apartment closer to the new job. Will be back online asap!

I'm really excited guys. I learned how to perform an HTTP request to snag emojis from incoming Twitch messages and put it into my VIPO project.

I've been working on building chat into the VIPO so I can customize how it looks and it's been cool seeing it come together 😌

I wrapped up my Breakout practice #gamedev project last week. It isn't the prettiest project, but I learned a lot.

There are still a couple of clear collision related bugs I couldn't figure out. I feel the urge to revisit them even with the project being 'done' 😭

Is anyone here in #gamedev particularly familiar with AudioStreamPlayer's (ASP's) in #Godot? I have 2 ASP2D nodes, each with max polyphony of 10, each playing a SFX, but while the logs claim both are triggered, only one is playing.

It occurs to me that I've not shared very much about the projects I'm working on for #gamedev on here 🤔 I'll drop a thread going over them a bit this weekend.

The current project is my latest entry towards completing the #20GamesChallenge, which we should be wrapping up this week (Hopefully 🙏)

Trying to setup online sessions in #unrealengine and while the client connects to the server and travels to the servers map... The client thinks its a server and won't give up possession of its player controller 😒

I hope networking in #Godot is easier

I agree with your post but I had to do this for the lols
Got a bunch followers out of the blue (thanks gang) and noticed how I've streamlined checking if I want to follow back. Something I look for is reposts to post ratio.

Weird how some people seem to exclusively repost? Not just the bots. Feels weird following a reposter.

Do yall look at that too?

Today: Scaling hit effects.
They will become more severe, the more damage you take.
It appears, people always felt they are about to crash so now the maximum severity is what the feedback used to be by default. Noice

I'm really glad I decided to try streaming. I'm not gonna pretend I'm great at it, but I've met so many cool people on #twitch, some doing #gamedev, some who just want to hang out and chat. It's been a huge boon to my productivity too. I'm making progress on projects I know I wouldn't do otherwise.

Ok so I took a break from #Satisfactory a few months back after getting a little overwhelmed. I had hit a transition point between having one big area of machinery that all kind of did everything, to needing to spread out and build specific parts in specific areas, and it was a huge mess.
