This seems very poorly thought out on the part of Canal+/DSTV.
I might be wrong though, I would love to see their calculations on how many people they expect to upgrade permanently on the basis of this promotion.

Saying Fuck You to any politician should not be proscribed by a professional body. Saying Fuck You to someone like Netanyhu should be praised.

Yeah, I get it. The US left presenting Norway as most socialist option available seems (deliberately) limiting, it's not even a Republic, let alone a Peoples Republic 😂.
I'll just add DS/SD it to my list of political things about the US that irk me, such as red signifying right and blue left.

For me, in this interview, Mamdani articulates a very Social Democratic position. In context of the USA, it's reasonably radical, but - unfortunately - not socialist. He says the differentiator between SD & DS is the willingness to fight, I do not agree with that.

But if it does not demand a radical re-distribution of wealth, based on fundamental changes to the ownership of the means of production, then it is reformist and such social democratic.

Exactly this; it's in the name - socialism requires the socialisation of the commanding heights of the economy. The form of that socialisation - state ownership, or syndicalism or whatever - & the way in which the power to implement this programme is achieved defines the type of socialism. (1/2)
